Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of velle.bio and every order placed with Velle Biosciences (“Velle”, “we”). By using the site or placing an order you accept these terms, the Research-Use Policy, and the Acceptable Use and Purchasing Policy, each of which is incorporated into these terms.

The site and catalogue are intended for qualified research customers who are at least 21 years of age. You may browse the catalogue and build a cart without an account, but orders are released for fulfilment only after a research account application has been reviewed and verified. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your application and for keeping it current.

Every product is supplied for laboratory research use only. It is not for human or veterinary use, and not intended for consumption, diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of disease. The research-use restrictions in the Research-Use Policy are a condition of every sale; the attestations you make at checkout are recorded with your order.

Your order is an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline any order, and acceptance occurs when your order is dispatched. We may cancel accepted orders where stock, documentation, verification, or compliance issues arise; cancelled orders are refunded in full.

Prices are shown in US dollars per vial and may change without notice; the price at the time you place an order applies to that order. Volume rates for multiple vials of the same catalogue entry are applied automatically in the cart. Taxes and shipping, where applicable, are shown at checkout.

Orders ship to laboratory and institutional addresses within the United States. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the carrier. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and for prompt, appropriate receipt and storage of temperature- and handling-sensitive materials.

Compound identity data is provided for research identification. Testing results are reported per lot on Certificates of Analysis issued by an independent laboratory and apply only to the lot identified on the document. Documentation does not constitute a warranty of fitness for any particular application.

Except as expressly stated in writing, materials are supplied “as is” for research purposes, and we disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

• Misrepresenting your identity, organization, age, or research purpose
• Using materials, or enabling their use, contrary to the Research-Use Policy
• Interfering with the operation or security of the site

We may suspend or close accounts and refuse orders in response to prohibited conduct.

We may update these terms; the version in effect when you place an order governs that order. Questions can be submitted through the contact form.
