Research-Use Policy

This policy governs every product supplied by Velle Biosciences (“Velle”, “we”). It applies to all catalogue entries without exception and is a condition of every sale. By placing an order you agree to this policy in full.

All materials are supplied exclusively for laboratory, analytical, educational, and in vitro research conducted by qualified researchers in appropriate research settings. Materials are supplied as chemical reference materials. They are not drugs, medicines, dietary supplements, foods, cosmetics, or medical devices, and they have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for safety or efficacy in humans or animals.

Materials supplied by Velle must not be used for:

• Administration to, or use in, humans or animals of any kind, by any route
• Consumption, or incorporation into any food, beverage, supplement, cosmetic, or household product
• Diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of any disease or condition
• Compounding, formulation, or repackaging for any of the uses above
• Resale or transfer to any party who intends any of the uses above

Orders are released for fulfilment only to verified research accounts. At account verification and again at every order, purchasers affirm that they are at least 21 years of age, are authorized to procure research materials for their organization, and that materials will be used exclusively for laboratory research and never in humans or animals. These attestations are recorded with a versioned copy of the wording agreed to.

• Confirming that purchase, receipt, possession, and use of each material are permitted in the purchaser's jurisdiction
• Handling, storing, and disposing of materials in accordance with applicable laws and the purchaser's institutional safety practices
• Ensuring materials remain within the purchaser's research setting and are not diverted to any prohibited use

Velle does not provide — and its support team cannot answer — questions regarding administration, consumption, or personal use of any material. Documentation supplied with orders (Certificates of Analysis, reference data, storage conditions) describes the material for research identification and handling purposes only.

We screen orders and may refuse, cancel, or refund any order — and suspend or close any account — where we believe a prohibited use is intended, where attestations appear inaccurate, or where supply would be inconsistent with this policy or applicable law.
